Professional preparation

We perform trainings in the field of fire and explosion protection, professional preparation of persons responsible for prevention in the field of fire protection and preventive fire patrol members. We will keep an eye on the deadlines for you. Our training courses are not about reading the standards and laws. Your employees will really learn something from us.

While the personnel training is usually only theoretic, professional preparation includes both theoretic and practical part. The professional preparation applies to persons responsible for prevention in the field of fire protection and members of preventive fire patrols but it can be used even for ordinary employees.

Theoretical part

The theoretical part includes information about fire hazard of the performed activity, i.e., where and due to which cases is the fire most likely to occur, what flammable substances can be found in given operation, whether there is a risk of explosion, what hazardous substances can be produced by burning, where is the fire expected to spread, and all other risks that can exist during the fire.

Another part relates to acquiring the knowledge of fire alarm announcement procedure, i.e., how to announce the fire alarm, what is the correct procedure for evacuation and safeguarding of the workplace, methods of calling the fire brigade and subsequent cooperation with them, cooperation with company fire brigade (if available), basic first aid.

Practical part

Practical part has the form of physical visit to the premises in question, familiarization with layout of firefighting means – i.e., fire extinguishers, fire alarm boxes, stationary extinguishing equipment.

The professional preparation further comprises information about fire sections and their importance, information about fire exits and protected escape routes, location of controls for stationary and semi-stationary extinguishing systems. Special attention has to be paid to areas with increased concentration of flammable substances, i.e., warehouses of flammable substances, tanks with flammable liquids, equipment using flammable liquids or gases or flammable/explosive dust for its operation.

Important part of the practical preparation is the knowledge of placement of main utility shut-off switches/valves (electricity, gas, water) or other media entering the facility (technical gases, flammable liquids, compressed air).

The practical preparation can then comprise even practical training of work with fire extinguishers, usage of rescue means, and practical training of the provision of a first aid.

Train hard, fight easy

It is not good if the preventive fire patrol member holds the fire extinguisher in their hands for the first time when there is a real fire.

And when they find out that they do not know how to use it.
