For example, it is easy to classify the entire hall as the environment with explosion hazard than looking for the places with real risk of explosive atmosphere occurrence, however, this can turn into a problem if you are forced to nonsensical replacement of electrical wiring that will cost you hundreds of thousands.
Determination of external influences
A key document which is the prerequisite for every occupancy permit-related proceedings as well as for every regular electrical equipment inspection. Few people can correctly determine the external influences in premises with explosion hazard. We can do that.
The records on determination of external influences are drawn-up or approved by a professional committee consisting of company representatives and invited experts. These records define what the environment is like in a given area and what its potential negative impact on electrical equipment and power distribution is.
The records on determination of external effects (frequently also incorrectly, but fittingly, called the environment records) are linked to a number of other documents and procedures, mainly the Explosion Protection Document (EPD) and local operating regulations. The records also represent a prerequisite for initial and regular inspections of electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
Groundwork for other documents
If the records on determination of external influences identify the environment with fire hazard in certain area, this must be reflected in follow-up Fire Protection Documentation. Analogously, if the area with explosion hazard is identified, it is necessary to draw-up the Explosion Protection Document.
At this point, we have to emphasize that the records on determination of external influences in no way replace the Explosion Protection Document (and vice versa), because where the records end, the EPD begins.
