Fire prevention education & firefighting training

Every employer is obliged to have performed the fire prevention inspections by the Certified Fire Protection Engineer and to provide fire prevention education and firefighting training.

The time schedule is according to fire danger level of the operation.

Operation with normal fire danger

Preventive fire inspections have to be made each 12 months.

Every employee must pass the fire prevention education when taking up the employment or when changing the position (if there are different risks and conditions than at previous occupation)

Schedule:

• employees: every 2 years
  
• managing staff: every 3 years
  
• outside working hours fire prevention workers (guards, security): every year
  

Operation with increased or high fire danger

Preventive fire inspections have to be made each 6 months (increased danger) or 3 month (high danger).

Every employee must pass the fire prevention education when taking up the employment or when changing the position (if there are different risks and conditions than at previous occupation)

Schedule:

• employees: every 2 years
  
• managing staff: every 3 years
  
• outside working hours fire prevention workers (guards, security): every year

Every member of firefighting and prevention team must pass the firefighting training when taking up the position in the team and than every year.

Every fire prevention specialist of the company must pass the firefighting training when taking up the position and than every year.
